ABOUT
Kevin Rich is a theatre artist and educator living in Boulder, Colorado.
Holding a BA in Theatre & Religious Studies from Grinnell College and an MFA from Yale School of Drama, Kevin's primary interests lie in the intersection of theatre & community and the development of new work inspired by our classics.
He served as Artistic Director of the Illinois Shakespeare Festival from 2012-2017 where, in addition to producing and directing vibrant, imaginative productions of Shakespeare's plays, he created a new work initiative leading to productions of Failure: A Love Story by Philip Dawkins, Love's Labor's Won by Scott Kaiser, and two Hip-Hop Shakespeare adaptations, Q Gents and I Heart Juliet, by the internationally-acclaimed Q Brothers. He also co-created a new Halloween tradition, ShakesFEAR, with director Andy Park.
Currently on faculty and Director of Applied Shakespeare at the University of Colorado Boulder, Kevin is helping design curriculum and develop projects in the field of Applied Shakespeare.
Kevin is a member of Actors' Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA and a Certified Associate Teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework®.

August 2019: Short play Eight Twenty-Eight was produced by Titan Theatre Company for the 44th Annual Samuel French Off-Off-Broadway Short Play Festival. August 2019: Actor/Manager for the Original Practices production of King John for the Colorado Shakespeare Festival. July 2019: Directed King Charles III: A Future History Play by Mike Bartlett for the Colorado Shakespeare Festival. March 2019: Directed Falstaff in Love by Scott Kaiser for the University of Colorado Boulder. September 2018: Directed Macbeth for CSF in the Schools. September 2018: Directed Twelfth Night for CSF in the Schools. August 2018: Actor/Manager for the Original Practices production of Edward III for the Colorado Shakespeare Festival.
